Been selling these bags for $1200 for the past couple yesrs on my website. Just alter them slightly to make a different bag to avoid any legal issues but you can use their patterns as a base to get started with.

Hi!. I just watched your Tandypro video on the heat impression machine. I have been selling hot stamping foil and teaching people how to make clean hot stamped images for over 22 years. After watching your video I have some tips for you that will make your images look much better and eliminate most , or all, of that time you're spending cleaning up the images afterward. I'm a Leatherwork Merit Badge Counselor with Scouts and I acquired one of the older Tandy heat imprinters to use for the classes. I watched the video of you demonstrating the accessories that you got with yours. I'm trying to find the insert that allows use of 3d stamps to hot foil stamp them. I can't find them on Tandy's website. Do you have the item number from the accessories kit? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Dale

Thanks for the pattern. I did notice that you are tripling your work. Print the pattern, tape it together. Cut it out roughly, glue to card stock. Cut it out exactly, then place on leather, and now trace exactly, and cut leather out exactly. Too many steps repeated. Do what I do. Buy file folders, cut them to A4 size. Print to your laser printer, cut out roughly. Tape to leather, cut out exactly. This saves a lot of time. You are wasting motion and time.

Why did you burnish your edges before you glued and sanded! Then re finish the edges?

I got pretty excited when I found your video on making this nice looking tray! Then I pressed start and got blasted with the horrible,,,, obnoxious, WAY TOO LOUD music (?) that drowned out most of your instructions! It looked like a good video, so I watched it muted, but I'm sure I missed important stuff. Just a tip: Forcing offensive noise on your audience is not a good marketing strategy if you want to build a channel.

I downloaded the money bag. I didn't think when designing a utility bag to do the process such as you did here. I enjoyed the rolled edges.

I made this for a friend and it turned out beautifully. I changed the front buckles to have magnet closures and I lengthened the handle attachment straps to add a stitch line in front of the rivets for more strength. I still am not sure what to do with the inside side flaps. I just left them loose but maybe they could've been attached? Anyway, thank you so much for the pattern and video. Fantastic!

I found this video to be interesting but the music drowned out your voice. I'm interested in information, and am able to get music in music oriented videos. I could not bear to continue past minute #1. It's a competitive field and you failed to even place. Too bad...

I don't know why people design the handle like that. The leverage under weight will tear the rivets out in short order. A leather strap at each end of the handle that travels down either side of the bag in the same way the shoulder strap travels down each end of the bag should be used. Anchor by stitching instead of rivets (you can use rivets IN ADDITION to stitching if you think it will help) and it will be much sturdier. Stitching is extremely strong this way because it spreads load tension over many stitches, whereas with rivets the load is all supported at only two points, those being the two inner rivets closest to the handle on either side. Nice design otherwise!
